I help companies grow and scale, primarily by improving sales and marketing systems and processes. My first job out of college was calling on C-Suite clients. My first boss said I was a quick-study. I used that experience to gain an understanding of what is required to start, run and grow companies.
My background is broad. I spent nearly a decade working for a Fortune 300 firm, ADP, and more than 9 years at what started out as a two-person start up with a Board of Directors. These diverse experiences have taught me the discipline required to succeed in a large organization and to deal successfully with demanding F1000 clients. I also picked up tenants of entrepreneurial zeal and bootstrap mentality necessary in startups and turnarounds.
I have run and grown organizations, territories, and enterprises. I have worked with and enlisted the cooperation and support of high government officials and industry leaders. My experience in applying business strategies in multiple sectors with repeated success gives credibility to my confidence that, regardless of the challenge, my teams and I can rise to the occasion.
A few years ago I was honored to be recognized as one of Kansas City's Most Influential Women, an award based on independent nominations from the public for women who have successful track records, strong business acumen, and a reputation as a leader in their area of expertise. That experience drew me closer to many other women business leaders, from whom I have learned even more about being a woman in leadership.
I am grateful for the many business leaders, both women and men, who have taken me under their wing to share insights and mentor me along my journey. Each year I seek out a few opportunities to pay that forward and donate time and energy toward mentoring tomorrow's leaders.
Those close to me know I can be competitive. I am a member of two Ladies Golf Associations in the KC region, and a Past Winner of Nicklaus Golf Club at Lionsgate Member-Member Championship in Overland Park, KS. Complete lists of my honors, awards, speeches given, publications and Boards are available.
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree at Kansas State University where I majored in Journalism and Mass Communications, and I live in the Kansas City area with my husband and daughters.
